The Australian Curriculum has been developed by the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA). It specifies what is to be taught and the learning expected of young people as they progress through school.
The Australian Curriculum consists of eight learning areas, seven general capabilities and three cross-curriculum priorities.
