We love The Arts at MSS. Our staff work together to design authentic learning experiences that link to our community and environment and engage and challenge our students.
The Arts is comprised of Visual Arts, Media Arts, Dance, Drama and Music.
Our students learn many skills through The Arts including:
- The design process — investigating, generating ideas, producing, evaluating and collaborating/managing
- Design and making skills
- Performing for an audience
- Creativity
- Problem solving
- Collaboration — working with others to achieve a goal
- Learning about other cultures and histories
- Sustainability — using existing materials and working 'with' a space. Considering our environmental impact on a site.
